Gintare Lasyte

Gintare Lasyte is a first semester journalism student at Vilnius University, based in capital a city of Lithuania.
Gintare always loved writting and her passion for it started from a very young age! Before getting into Vilnius University, Lasyte was a student in a private Kretinga‘s Franciscan gymnasium and a communication director at student‘s parlament. In communication, students write about events, International Science Olympiads. She went into the school of arts, where she had her creative life. She spent there ten years of her life singing in a choir and playing piano. She started journalism practise at a local newspaper, where she understood, writting is a huge part of her life. Creativity, communication, honesty and criticism are values, that Gintare has and will always cherish.
In a junior year, as a final exam to get into senior year, she chose to create a book of her philosophy thoughts and poems. In a local newspaper, called „Pajurio Naujienos“ (eng. Seaside news), she started taking interviews from interesting and expierenced people. Her goal, was writing about real problems in life and helping young people, helpe them to understand what they want to be. One of her best interviews was about a man from her town, which went to Camino de Santiago, the Saint Road, where people travel 765 kilometers in the hills of France all alone. Just with a bag!
Previously, Gintare get graduated from Franciscan gymnasium and became a journalism student at Vilnius University.
